F.I.T. Panel

One Panel Design

F.I.T. House (Flexible, Intelligent, Transformable House) is an architecture system designed to simplify the process of construction by designing a single shape panel. These panels join together like a puzzle and they connect to form a sturdy structure without the use of any metal fixings. By replicating a single panel, the structure comes together and can be expanded in size by adding more panels. Because the size can be adjusted, this system can quickly and flexibly propose the optimal plan to construct for the needs of disaster areas. Such examples include simple housing, community centers, and temporary medical facilities.

The panels are called SIP (Structurally Insulated Panels) boards, composed of EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam in between two sheets of OSB (Oriented Strand Board). EPS foam acts as insulation, and is not heavy to handle, allowing the panel to be manageable to carry with two people.

These SIP boards are cut using CNC router to create the F.I.T. House panel shape. These SIP boards are highly practical for disaster recovery due to their portability and ease of assembly, can be transported and constructed in any location quickly, making them suitable for rapid disaster relief situations. Anyone can learn to build it, regardless of any skills.
